Ho Chi Minh City’s newest and most anticipated shopping complex, Crescent Mall, will officially open to the public on 30th November this year.
About 20 years ago, Phu My Hung Corporation, one of Vietnam’s leading developers, started development of the 409 hectare Phu My Hung New City Centre in District 7. Their vision for a promised land where all dreams and expectations will come true has quickly come to fruition. The faithful execution of the Saigon South master plan has made this district become one of the most desired living destinations in Ho Chi Minh City - home to over 10,000 households including middle to upper class Vietnamese, as well as expatriates. Phu My Hung is now a thriving city with strong growth in retail and commercial activity.
The latest project, Crescent Mall, is the latest addition to the Phu My Hung New City Centre and will officially open to the public on 30th November this year. This VND2.31 billion development is strategically located on Nguyen Van Linh Parkway, and offers approximately 45,000 sq m of retail space. It is Ho Chi Minh City’s newest and most anticipated shopping complex and promises to deliver the best and most unique shopping, dining , and entertainment experience.
Mr. Arthur Ting, Board Chairman of CT&D Group and Phu My Hung Corporation, said, “We have cooperated with the Vietnamese people over the past 20 years in realizing our common dream of a better Vietnam. Phu My Hung has devoted itself to building a vision toward the future and we have continued our itinerary with the latest project, Crescent Mall. We try to create an atmosphere in which families can live, work, entertain themselves and go shopping, and Crescent Mall will contribute its part to perfecting the living quality of the dwellers of Ho Chi Minh City.”
Crescent Mall has been designed to be a unique destination for the people of Ho Chi Minh City. This is achieved through the combination of design, retail mix and customer experience.
One of the core values of Crescent Mall is quality and this is immediately obvious in the design. The high quality build of the mall has been maintained throughout. The façade of the building is stamped with waves giving the mall a very distinct look, particularly in the evening when the waves are magnified through the various light features.
Located on the lakefront, Crescent Mall will be surrounded by landscaping, greenery, open walkways and water fountains that further add to the beauty of the mall. This is best enjoyed from the 6th Floor Terrace, capturing breathtaking views of The Crescent and Phu My Hung area.
Inside the mall, the atriums give full view of all floors within the mall and encourage customers to enjoy their time in a wide open environment. The mall is fully equipped with facilities and services that makes shopping easier and more convenient, including both outdoor parking and 3 levels of secure basement parking, an abundance of lifts and escalators that service each floor, an Information Desk, and parents rooms.
Unique Retail Mix
Crescent Mall will comprise of a vast array of retail stores that cater to all shopping needs. The precincts of the mall were carefully planned to include a supermarket, 8-screen cineplex, international & casual fashion, cosmetics, restaurants and cafes, furniture, homewares and décor, electronics and technology, specialty and services, children and family zone, and entertainment.
International brands increasingly recognise the potential in Vietnam and retailers such as Giant Superstore, Niketown, tiNiWorld, and F.O.S, have chosen to launch their very first store at Crescent Mall. Furthermore, French Connection (fcuk) will be introducing their Vietnam flagship store and MegaStar will unveil their new and fresh look for their cineplex space.
There will also be a wide range of food and beverage stores available, including Gloria Jeans Coffees, Bread Talk, The Coffee Bean & Tea Leaf, Phuc Long Tea & Coffee, MOF, and MK Hotpot. One of the key F&B attractions for Crescent Mall will be Bamboo Court. Located on Level 5, this 1,100 seat food court will be one of the largest foodcourts in Vietnam.
There will also be a strong focus on entertainment and customer experience which is not currently available in other shopping malls. With the serene and spacious environment, Crescent Mall will become a haven for events such as concerts, shows, fashion catwalks, art and cultural exhibits, children’s activities, and much more.
Crescent Mall will also be the first to give a truly unique experience for children and families offering a children’s precinct on the 4th Floor. These little shoppers will feel right at home at the mall finding all the fun and facilities that cannot be found elsewhere - an area specially dedicated to them.
Crescent Mall will also offer free parking that will be manned by security at all times. Customers can safely leave their parked vehicles and take their time to explore all 6 floors of shopping, dining and entertainment to enjoy the true Crescent Mall experience.
The mall opening will also mark the start of the Christmas celebrations. There will be special and unique Christmas decorations and a range of musical and children’s entertainment every Saturday and Sunday throughout December. The key attraction will be the interactive Christmas display window. This display will bring a real snow fall every hour and special Christmas surprises for everyone.
Mr Provest, Savills Vietnam’s Director of Agency, added, “The quality of Crescent Mall is extremely high and the vast offer ensures our customers experiences the widest choice possible. The intention is to provide a destination like nowhere else in Ho Chi Minh City, where family and friends can gather to enjoy shopping, dining, and entertainment, in a relaxed and serene lake front environment. The mall is the first of its kind and the only way to truly experience it is to be there when we open on 30th November.”
